Symantec Mail Security Earns InfoWorld's 2007 Technology of the Year Award

Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC) today announced that its Symantec Mail Security solution has been selected by InfoWorld Magazine as a 2007 Technology of the Year Award winner for Best Anti-Spam Solution.

According to InfoWorld's Test Center analysts and editors, Symantec Mail Security earned a 2007 Technology of the Year Award for Best AntiSpam by demonstrating "best-in-class performance with a spam catch rate of more than 97 percent." The publication also stated "it is easy to use and has a relatively low cost per user, with compliance and digital asset security features standard. Great policy-driven filtering and e-mail firewalls add value to the anti-spam and anti-virus functionality."
InfoWorld's annual Technology of the Year Awards identify significant technologies of the past year that promise to make the greatest impact on enterprise IT strategies, and honor the products that best exemplify the implementation of those technologies. The Technology of the Year Awards are not open to outside nominations and final selections are made by InfoWorld's Test Center analysts and editors.
